About OUTFITTING SPACES
Co-creators of OUTFITTING SPACES Chrishon Sims and Nicky Scott are long-time best friends with a common passion for interior decorating and design. Individually they offer very distinct design styles and skill sets. Chrishon is an avid seamstress and color combination expert with an eclectic style. Nicky is a budget-friendly space planner and a lover of transitional style. Collectively, they are OUTFITTING SPACES.
Chrishon Sims
The Decatur, Georgia native has always had panache for the interesting. Her eccentric sense of humor and traditional approach to life creates her eclectic sense of style in fashion and home décor. As a little girl, she carefully watched her aunt build and restore furniture. While studying Theatre at the University of Missouri-Columbia, she was formally trained to sew while learning costume design and construction. Chrishon spends her working hours as an English Language Arts High School teacher, but spends countless hours sewing new accents for her McDonough, Georgia home.
“My biggest asset as a decorator is my ability to combine unexpected colors and patterns. I like to take my cues from Earth; she is feisty and funny like me. I have never seen the Earth tacky.”
Nicky Scott
Native of Atlanta, Georgia, Nicky Scott has over ten years of experience working as a Project Manager for an advertising agency. Although a marketer by day, Nicky is a lover of all things home decor, DIY and interior design 100% of the time. A natural at space planning, space organization, budget management and classic design, she is often asked by others to share decorating advice. Nicky mainly uses her skill set to decorate her new home, among other projects.
"I'm known for creating high-end style on a budget because I know my strengths and weaknesses. I know when to hire help, where to save and when to splurge on that piece you love. Ultimately my goal as a decorator is to share my experiences to empower and inspire others to create spaces they will love.”
