Nicky and I went on a field trip to Ballard Designs, and I snatched up this chandelier for a little or nothing. Granted there were several rows of crystals and the dome cover were missing, a light needed a cover, but I couldn't pass up this beauty.
When I brought it home, Burt (my husband) rolled his eyes like I had brought home yet another stray animal. What can I say, I love projects. I especially love projects he has to work on with me. So, we got busy fixing her up. Here are a few items I used to get started.
Thanksgiving was right around the corner, and the chandelier had to be up for our first Thanksgiving in the new house. Burt went to Michael’s and got new glass beads to match the crystal on the chandelier.
I think everything turned out wonderfully.

Now, it is time to completely decorate the dining room. I'm growing tired of no decorations.
