Valentine's Day is all about showing love, to the one you love, on the special day of love. Most people will be sure to give their significant other a lovely gift such as flowers, chocolate, diamonds, etc. But there are also some simple and inexpensive things you can do to create a romantic mood and interior for Valentine's Day. So, here are a few quick tips to help you design a mood for your Valentine's Day celebration.

1. TOUCH

Romantic interiors call for pieces that feel good to touch.

TIP: Incorporate items like a faux fur throw, satin pillows or upgrade to high quality sheets to set the mood.

2. LIGHTING

Create an ambiance with lighting.

TIP: Add candles, switch on the low light dimmer or crank up the fireplace to set the mood.

3. SCENT

Tigger a romantic feel by incorporating aromatherapy.

TIP: Showcase a bouquet of red roses, scented candles or a beautiful tablescaped meal to set the mood.

4. TASTE

Develop "eye candy" that will taste great, now and later.

TIP: Display sweet treats like chocolate, fresh fruit and bite-size desserts to set the mood.
