OUT FOR THE HOLIDAY

Writer's picture: Outfitting SpacesOutfitting Spaces

If you have been keeping up with our blog posts, you know by now that I'm not the type of person that goes all out with decorations for the holiday. I admire those who put in the time and money to create beautifully decorated trees, fireplace mantels and exterior lights. Truth to be told, I put up my first Christmas tree three years ago when I had my baby girl and that is the only reason why I do any decorations for the holidays. Our tree is artificial with a few simple ornaments and we have three stocking hanging from the fireplace mantle. Yep, that is the extend of my decor. Maybe one year I will get inspired to change it up, but for now, that is all I have in me.

Because my holiday decor is so basic, we love to go out and admire the beautiful holiday decor of others. If you live in Atlanta, there are a ton of options to consider for family-fun activities that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit. From Lake Lanier, to Six Flags, to Stone Mountain and Callaway Gardens; there is something for everyone. Most activities last through the New Year, so there is still time to go.

This year we choose to go to Atlanta Botanical Gardens to see "Garden Lights, Holiday Nights" and we had an incredible time. We enjoyed strolling through the gardens to see the interactive light displays, music and signature exhibits like the Ice Goddess, Skyline Garden, and Tunnel of Lights. If you haven't been it is a must see. Below is a photo from our experience.

I just ask that you get out for the holiday to make magical memories with the ones you love.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
