RECLAIMING THE HOLIDAY

Holidaying can be tough on the wallet, the body,and the psyche. It makes me wonder how a season filled with so much meaning has turned into commerical chaos. Being a designer, I used to feel pressure to have picture-perfect holiday everything! Well, this year I said no to all of the madness.

So just to let you know, I am not going all out to holiday-scape anything. We are decorating a tree, but the kids get to decorate it however they like. If all of the ornaments are at the bottom of the tree and the treetopper is leaning, I have not a care to give about it. I am just happy to get my time back from having to live an Instagram perfect life so that I can enjoy the holiday with my loves.
