Dare I say that we had been living without a proper coffee table. A shame, I know. But I could not bear the thought of just buying something just to fill the space. I am a fan of Restoration Hardware (I don’t know many people who are not), but man those price tags get a little high when you still have a whole house to furnish on a relatively tight budget. So, for people who are like me… wait!
I lamented to my husband Burt that I wanted to buy but could not afford to purchase this beauty:

I ran the possibility of him building me something similar. He did not take the bait (or so I thought). For days, I could not park in the garage. Burt beguiled me into believing the garage was off limits while he built himself a portable work table. Then, one day, while he was working away into the minutes of the night, I walked into the garage to ask him when he would accompany Beau and I upstairs before bed, and I saw them, four round legs sitting graciously above a crude make of a table top.

He was making my coffee table. Here is what the rascal was doing while lying to me:
I have never enjoyed being lied to as much as I did this day. Isn’t she a beauty, and the $250 price tag makes her irresistible. We love Diana (that's what we call her)!

Didn’t Burt do a great job? Tell us what you think.
