I love Pinterest and found inspiration for an IKEA hack that I wanted to try. I had been searching and searching for an office storage solution that was both economical and functional. But all the office credenzas that I liked were upwards $500 dollars or more (which was completely out of my budget). So I decided to turn a standard dresser into an office storage solution for my husband's home office.
First, I started by putting together the Tarva dresser from IKEA, which retails for $149.99.

Next, I primed the dresser frame and drawers.

Then, I added the paint color. I choose to go with "Indigo," a Valspar paint brand from Lowe's. It took less than a quart to paint the entire dresser.
Lastly, I added hardware (knobs) which I found at Target.

I think I may add some additional trim work to the drawers to add a bit more interest. But overall, not too bad for less than $200, right?

What do you think?
